Database Research Summaries2018 Evaluation of Alternative Management Tactics for Early Season Insect Pests of Soybeans and Impact of Seed Treatments on Stand Establishment and Replant Prevention
Objectives
- Evaluate at-planting insecticides as possible alternatives to neonicotinoid seed treatments.
- Evaluate the impact of neonicotinoid seed treatments on stand establishment and estimate the value of seed treatments with regard to minimizing risk of having to replant.
Results
Results will be uploaded upon completion of this project.
Importance
These studies demonstrate the value of at-planting insecticide treatments as risk management tools, because there are no reactive/rescue treatments for many early-season/soil insect pests.
