In-Season Fertilizer and Fungicide Applications in Soybean

The Science for Success team hosted a three-part virtual webinar series to discuss strategies farmers can utilize to optimize soybean yield. This webinar series explored some of the many management decisions soybean farmers face throughout the growing season. During this session of the webinar series, the team discussed some In-Season Fertilizer and Fungicide Applications soybean producers may make. You can find the other sessions of the webinar series under Early Season Management and Late Season Management.

Foliar Fertilizers

There is interest among farmers and agronomists to test different fertilizer products to improve soybean yield. We tested an array of foliar fertilizers in 46 environments across the United States. The following resources outline the results of our studies conducted independently by Science for Success team members and funded by public entities.

Flowering

Flowering marks the beginning of rapid dry weight and nutrient accumulation rates. Dr. Shaun Casteel, Extension Soybean Specialist, Purdue University explains what is happening in the soybean plant through the process of flowering (growth stages R1-R3) in this video.
