Research Focus

The focus of this project is to use drones for overhead weed identification and to simulate the handoff to a simulated drone sprayer to show accuracy.

Objectives

Develop and demonstrate overhead weed identification along with preliminary precision drone spraying tests.

Results

Results will be updated upon completion of this study.

Importance

  • Agricultural precision drone technology will have a significant impact on crop productivity.
  • One of the most important developments is that precision drone spraying can reduce chemical application, cost and environmental impact.
